Cox Cable to add Fox Business

Fox Business Network is expected to announce this afternoon a new distribution deal, representing some 2 million digital subscribers to Cox Cable in several major markets, Michele Greppi of TelevisionWeek reports.

Greppi writes, “The deal, which takes effect Jan. 1, will raise the 14-month-old FBN’s reach to nearly 45 million homes.

“Cox had been one of the last large distributors to agree to carry Fox Business. Time Warner, Charter, Comcast, Verizon FiOS, AT&T and DirecTV already carry the channel.

“Among the new markets FBN will reach are San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, New Orleans and iconic investor Warren Buffet’s Ohama, Neb.”
