Robert Terry, the new federal government contracts reporter for the Washington Business Journal, writes about how he plans to approach the beat.
Terry writes, “I’ll be immersing myself in major solicitations, from RFPs to bid protests; privately held and publicly traded defense and tech companies; GAO and analyst reports; agency budgets; trends in federal procurement; and the money and personalities that fuel this world.
“I also plan to explore the ways in which the Trump administration is disrupting Washington, all while breaking down bureaucratic jargon and complex regulations to illustrate how all this activity straddles official D.C. — the White House, Capitol and Pentagon — and the local business community.
“Who’s winning contracts? Who’s losing them? Who’s hiring? Who’s firing? And what does it mean for the local economy?”
