Paul Owers, who covers South Florida real estate for CoStar Group, is leaving for a job at Florida Atlantic University.
He will be working on the news desk and embedded with the College of Business. His start date is March 23.
Owers has been at CoStar since October 2017.
He previously spent 12 years as a business reporter at The Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale, where he covered the housing market from the end of the boom in 2005, through the nation’s foreclosure crisis and into a new era of prosperity.
Before that, he worked at The Palm Beach Post covering retail, tourism and commercial real estate.
