Real estate news service CoStar has hired Houston Chronicle deputy business editor Jonathan Diamond as its West Coast editor.
He will start on Sept. 13 and oversee coverage from Seattle to San Diego. His last day at the Chronicle will be Sept. 10. I
“I’m happy to be back in LA, but will miss the team in Houston – they’ve done really amazing work…” said Diamond in a message. “The business desk … has consistently turned out stories that have engaged readers, and I’m really proud of the work the reporters there have done.”
Diamond was previously the editor in chief of the Los Angeles Business Journal. He joined the Chronicle in January 2019.
He has a master’s degree in public policy from UCLA and a bachelor’s in journalism from Boston University.
