Real estate news service CoStar has hired reporter Andria Cheng to cover the New York market.
She started on Monday.
Cheng has been a senior contributor to Forbes and a freelancer for the past three years.
Before Forbes, she was at eMarketer to help it start a retail news product.
Cheng left MarketWatch and The Wall Street Journal in August 2015 after eight years. She also worked at for Bloomberg News from 1999 to 2007.
She has a master’s degree in journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill and originally came to the U.S. from Taiwan as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.
Cheng was ranked from 2013 through when the ranking ended last year as a top retail industry influencer by retail software firm Vend from its independent analysis of social media and other influencer metrics.
