Jake Swearingen has been hired by Consumer Reports as a technology reporter.
He will start on May 28.
Swearingen most recently was a tech reporter for New York magazine. He had been there from August 2016 until April 2019.
He previously worked at the website director for Popular Mechanics and as an associate editor at The Atlantic. He was also the web editor of LA Weekly and SF Weekly.
Swearingen also covered advertising for BNET.
