Richard Cordray, the first director of the new federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, will address the Society of American Business Editors and Writers’ 49th annual spring conference in Indianapolis March 15-17, 2012.
Also in SABEW’s lineup of big-name speakers for Indianapolis is Paul Ingrassia, who was appointed deputy editor-in-chief at Reuters in April. He will will hold a conversation with Ford Motor Co.’s group vice president James Farley Jr. in a keynote presentation. Ingrassia directs content creation across regions and specialty beats, in text and multimedia.
Also offered will be sessions on turning beat reporting into a book, entrepreneurial journalism and strategies for covering a single company. The “500 minutes” also will include tips on how to spot trouble at the companies you cover as well as managing for change in a fast-moving industry.
Diana Henriques of The New York Times also will be a keynote speaker at the Indianapolis conference.
