Congrats to Bernie

Bernie Kohn, who oversees the business section at The Baltimore Sun, has been named the new secretary/treasurer for SABEW, which means he will become the president in 2008.

At a SABEW conference in Boston a few years ago, Bernie introduced a panel that he and I both sat on as possibly the only time two former people from the Tampa Tribune business desk had ever made it out of the paper alive and sane.

You can read more about Bernie here. In addition, here is a Q&A he did with Baltimore Sun readers earlier this year on executive compensation.
