Commercial real estate reporter McClung leaving Denver Biz Journal

Kelcey McClung, the commercial real estate reporter at the Denver Business Journal, is leaving the paper.

McClung’s last day is March 1. She said she plans to do some freelancing.

She joined the paper in December 2017.

McClung graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May with a degree in journalism and political science. During summer 2017 she interned at WBTV in Charlotte, reporting, editing, and creating content for anchor Molly Grantham, including videos and stories about news headlines and children with uphill medical battles.

She also interned with The (Raleigh) News & Observer while an undergraduate.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
