Ron Carter, the business editor of the Columbus Dispatch, has retired.
Dispatch editor Alan Miller writes, “So he applied at The Dispatch, which hired him in 1994 as a business reporter.
“He served with distinction in that role for six years and was named Assistant Business Editor in 2000. Three years later, he became the Business Editor. And he has led the Business Desk for the past 15 years.
“Carter took pride in creating a team culture on the Business Desk, remembering and celebrating birthdays and also celebrating each time a story written by someone on that desk landed on Page One.
