Columbus Business First has hired Emily Bench as a reporter covering Ohio State University, tourism and the business of sports.
Before joining the American City Business Journals paper, Bench was a freelance writer for the Columbus Dispatch. She also was a freelance writer for the Ohio Campus Compact.
Bench is a 2017 graduate of Otterbein University in journalism and mass communications. While there, she worked as a reporter and assistant editor on the Tan & Cardinal student magazine.
Bench received the Verda B. Evans journalism scholarship while at Otterbein.
