Columbia Business Times names new editor

Brenna McDermott has been named editor of Columbia Business Times magazine in Missouri.

A story on its website states, “McDermott most recently served as Director of Women’s Network at the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, where she managed the 500-member organization for the past 18 months. Prior to that, she served as the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum in Hannibal, Missouri.

“She holds a degree in communications and journalism from Truman State University and served as Editor-in-Chief of Truman’s student produced newspaper, The Index. With McDermott at the helm, The Index was named the best student-produced newspaper in the state.

“‘I’m excited and grateful to serve as editor of CBT and look forward to continuing the production of such an excellent publication,’ says McDermott.”
