Melvin Backman starts today as the newest edition to the finance and markets reporting team.
He joins from CNN Money where he covered a wide range of financial and corporate news. Prior to that he covered bankruptcies, restructurings, and other sordid credit events at Debtwire. While Melvin’s hometown is Charleston, SC, he eagerly jumped the border to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. You can follow him on Twitter @MelvinBackman
Melvin will be parked across from Svati in the NYC newsroom. Please stop by and introduce yourself, and join me in welcoming him.
