CNNMoney has hired longtime journalist Chuck Squatriglia as its senior tech editor.
He will work with CNN Tech editor Sam Murphy Kelly and will be based in Oakland.
Squatriglia spent the last decade at Wired magazine as a senior editor, news editor and articles editor before leaving in August 2017.
In his last job at Wired, he oversaw the daily operation of Wired’s online news organization, working alongside the site editor in San Francisco and site director in New York to lead a team of eight section editors and several dozen writers, photo editors, designers, and others.
From 1999 to 2007, Squatriglia worked at the San Francisco Chronicle as a reporter, bureau chief and assistant metro editor.
He led the Chronicle’s East Bay bureau as an assistant metro editor following the merging of the paper’s Contra Costa and Alameda county bureaus
