CNNMoney hires multiplatform editor

CNNMoney.com executive editor Lex Haris sent out the following announcement on Tuesday:

We are pleased to announce we have an overnight multi-platform editor: Rob McLean is joining us on August 24.
Rob will be an important asset on two key fronts. First, there’s breaking news, catching it as it happens after-hours and setting us up for the morning. Second, there’s international programming, making sure our best stuff is reaching the right audience on all platforms. This will be especially helpful as our international coverage continues to build.
Rob already works overnight as the digital managing editor for Hearst Television in Omaha. He coordinates news coverage and edits copy for publication on the websites of 25 Hearst stations. He also teaches an introductory class on journalism at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He got his Master’s at the J-school at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
He’ll also be visiting this Friday so you can welcome him in advance!

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
