CNNMoney.com names executive producer

CNNMoney.com executive editor and vice president Chris Peacock sent out the following staff announcement on Thursday:

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Nelson as CNNMoney’s new Executive Producer.

Video is a critical pillar of CNNMoney’s content and editorial strategy – and we’re fortunate that Alex has considerable skills in this area. He is a storyteller, a generous mentor, and he knows news. Anyone who has worked with Alex is quick to note his easy manner and ready-to-go spirit.

As interim leader of the video team these past few months, Alex developed a programming strategy that led to renewed growth, consistently taking traffic to record-breaking territory. Reporting to me, Alex will continue to focus on developing our programming, realigning our team and deepening video integration within CNNMoney and beyond.

Please join me in congratulating Alex.
