CNNMoney.com has record day

CNNMoney.com broke its one-day traffic record on Monday with the launch of Money magazine’s 2010 “Best Places to Live” with more than 50 million page views in one day.

The financial news site, which includes content from Time Inc. magazines Fortune and Money, said its previous page view record was Sept. 29, 2008, which was the day the House voted down the bank bailout. On that day, there were 44 million page views.

For the first half of 2010, CNNMoney.com averaged 9.4 million page views per day and 284 million page views per month, according to a CNNMoney.com spokeswoman.

In 2009, the cite was averaging 423 million page views per month.
