CNN hires Politico’s Gold to cover European media, business

Hadas Gold

CNN senior vice president Ed O’Keefe sent out the following staff announcement on Wednesday:

I am excited to announce Hadas Gold will join CNN as a reporter focused on European politics, media, and global business.
Hadas joins us after a spectacular run of more than five years at Politico.
Alex Koppelman will edit Hadas in what is a collaborative new beat for her and us – and her work will appear across CNN Politics, CNNMoney, and CNN writ-large.
She will join us full time in Washington after Labor Day, and you will see her CNN byline starting Sept. 5.
