CNN has hired Carter Evans to be a correspondent for “Money Matters,” a program done in conjunction with CNNMoney.com, according to a release.
“‘Carter is a smart business journalist with a diversified background in television and radio, both local and national,’ [executive director of news operations Paul] Crum said. ‘The addition of Carter brings another well-rounded journalist to CNN Newsource, enabling us to give our affiliates around the nation the market news they want, when they want it and how they want it.’
“Evans joins CNN Newsource from CBS in New York, where he anchored CBS Money Watch business reports and served as a national correspondent for CBS NewsPath. He reported for WNYW and WWOR in New York. Evans is a graduate of Ithaca College.
“CNN Newsource, comprised of approximately 800 affiliates including TV stations and local/regional cable news channels throughout North America, is the most widely distributed syndicated news service.”
