CNN Business hires Tappe as a senior writer covering markets

Anneken Tappe

CNN Business general manager Jason Farkas and executive editor Rich Barbieri sent out the following announcement on Thursday:

We are happy to announce Anneken Tappe will be joining our team as a senior writer covering markets in New York. Anneken comes to us from MarketWatch, where she covered European markets and bonds. Before MarketWatch, Anneken worked at DebtWire on both sides of the Atlantic. Anneken is a graduate of the London School of Economics and The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

We love Anneken’s deep knowledge and expertise in all things markets, and she will lend a strong voice to our stocks, bonds, commodities and economy coverage. She will help give the Live Story a boost, and she will lend support to Before the Bell, Markets Now and other big, important projects. She will be part of Dave’s Business, Markets & Economy team.

Anneken starts Monday April 8. Anneken is the latest addition to a newsroom that’s investing in talent with deep expertise in key coverage areas: Tech, Media, and in this case Markets. Be on the lookout for more announcements soon.

Best,

Jason and Rich
