Tech reporter Rachel Metz is joining the new CNN Business as a senior writer covering tech.
Metz will be based in San Francisco and will be covering artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality. She starts Oct. 22.
She comes to CNN Business from MIT Technology Review, where she has been a senior editor for mobile covering the ways humans and machines are connected. Before that, she was at the Associated Press from March 2007 to January 2012, where she also covered tech. Her writing has also appeared in The New York Times and Wired.
Metz is a graduate of University of California-Berkeley.
