CNET editor at large Jeff Bakalar is moving to the games division of Red Ventures, which acquired CNET last year.
Bakalar will be working with Gamespot and another website about videogames, Giant Bomb, to help lead content strategy/development and partnerships.
“My deepest gratitude and respect goes out to all my friends and colleagues throughout the CNET family, to which I owe pretty much everything,” he wrote on Twitter.
Bakalar has been at CNET since 2007 and is a host for CNET video. He’s regularly featured on CBS and CBSN.
He founded the site’s longest-running podcast, “The 404 Show,” which ran for 10 years. He’s currently featured on Giant Bomb’s Giant Beastcast podcast.
