CNBC’s Kearns departs for Brunswick Group

CNBC International vice president Michael Kearns, who led the broadcaster’s digital operations and strategic partnerships from Singapore, has left the network to join Brunswick Group as director to work with clients on diverse solutions across sectors.

Kearns was with CNBC for 10 years, joining as head of news and programming Asia-Pacific. Later on, he was promoted to the post of vice president of international digital and head of news and programming Asia Pacific before serving at his most recent post at the network.

Kearns has also worked at CBC for a little over 16 years. He held various roles, including producer CBC Beijing bureau, senior producer CBC News Sunday and executive producer The Lang and O’Leary Exchange CBC News Business.

Kearns is a B.A. in political science from University of Toronto – Innis College. He also holds a M.A. in political science.
