CNBC’s Insana launching daily podcast

Ron Insana, a contributor to CNBC and whose “Market Score Board Report with Ron Insana” is syndicated by Compass, is launching a daily podcast.

“Insana Insights” will  provide a daily look at the latest events in the economy and the business world. He’ll also let you know what he’s reading and what he’s watching for that day.

On the first podcast, launching live on his website on Friday at 9 a.m., Insana speaks with sports broadcaster Bob Costas. Costas addresses the golden age of sports business and why he doesn’t want to hear excuses for athletes’ bad behavior.

In addition to his work as a business journalist, Insana was the CEO of Insana Capital Partners from 2006 to 2008, which, at its peak, managed the $125 million Insana Capital Partners “Legends Fund.”

Insana began his career at the Financial News Network in 1984 and joined CNBC when Financial News Network and CNBC merged in 1991.

Insana was named one of the “Top 100 Business News Journalists of the 20th Century” and was nominated for a news and documentary Emmy for his role in NBC’s coverage of Sept. 11.
