CNBC’s Harwood named White House correspondent at CNN

John Harwood

John Harwood has left his post as editor at large at CNBC to join CNN as a White House correspondent.

At CNBC, Harwood was covering Washington for the network and was also the host of the CNBC Digital original video series, “Speakeasy with John Harwood.” He also wrote a weekly column, “Political Memo” for The New York Times.

Additionally, before joining The Times, he was also attached with The Wall Street Journal.

Harwood is a graduate of Duke University.
