CNBC’s Boorstin to write book on female leaders

Julia Boorstin, senior media and entertainment correspondent at CNBC, is writing a new book exploring stories of remarkable female leaders for Simon & Schuster.

Boorstin’s book “Mother of Invention” will look into stories of female CEOs and founders who transformed challenges into opportunity and advantage.

Boorstin has been with CNBC for more than 14 years, joining as on-air correspondent. Later on, she held the post of senior media and entertainment reporter before being promoted to her current post.

At CNBC, Boorstin covers all things content, distribution, and advertising related. She also covers media giants and the disruptive force of digital distribution.

She has also worked as a writer at Fortune magazine.
