CNBC taps Thomas for strategic content team

Ian Thomas

Ian Thomas has joined CNBC as an editor on the strategic content team, helping create content around CNBC’s events, reports and the biggest stories in business.

Previously, he was covering the wealth management industry and registered investment advisors for Financial Advisor IQ as a senior reporter at the Financial Times.

He was also editor of Front Office Sports and was a staff writer covering the business of hockey and soccer at Sports Business Journal.

He was also a reporter at Money-Media and has also covered mergers and acquisitions, and the private equity industry at Mergermarket.

He has worked at Bloomberg and Crain’s New York Business.

Thomas is a B.A. in journalism from State University of New York at Stony Brook and a M.A. in business journalism from Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
