CNBC and PBS each won two Emmys Tuesday at the Fifth Annual Emmy Awards for Business & Financial Reporting at a luncheon in New York, while networks CNN, CBS and NBC each won one award. (Photos from the luncheon can be found here.)
CNBC‘s “Business Nation” won for investigative reporting in the magazine or long form category for a story about prescription drugs, and its documentary “Big Brother, Big Business” with David Faber as the correspondent won in the documentary category.
“NOW on PBS” won for outstanding coverage of a busines news event in the magazine or long form format for a story on franchising health care in developing countries, while the “News Hour with Jim Lehrer” of PBS won in the category of outstanding interpretation or analysis of a business news story in the magazine or long for format for a story on the cost of war.
CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” won in the category for outstanding coverage of a business news event in a regularly scheduled newscast, while NBC’s “Nightly News with Brian Williams” won in the category for outstanding investigative report of a business news story in a regularly scheduled newscast.
CBS News “Sunday Morning” won in the category of outstanding interpretation or analysis of a business news story in a regularly scheduled newscast.
