CNBC is looking to make some changes to its primetime schedule, reports Claire Atkinson of the New York Post.
Atkinson writes, “The business cable network is experimenting with a new roundtable show that, sources said, may air in the 7 p.m. time slot currently occupied by ‘The Kudlow Report.’
“Producers are throwing around ideas for a rapid-fire talk show about stocks — and are brainstorming possible hosts, sources added.
“Names that have surfaced in the mix include CNBC daytime personalities Carl Quintanilla and Kayla Tausche.
“Talk of spicing up prime time comes as CNBC is prepping for the arrival of NBC News boss Deborah Turness, who starts her new job in August.
“Prime time has registered a drop-off in viewers in the first half of 2013 — as have the higher-watched hours during the trading day.”
