CNBC is adding a podcast around “Squawk Box”

CNBC is creating a new podcast extension of its flagship morning television show “Squawk Box.”

A story on Inside Radio states, “The podcast will be known as Squawk Pod and will publish each morning at 10am. The podcast will pull excerpts from the show’s most newsmaker interviews.

“‘With the launch of Squawk Pod, we are leaning further into our commitment to bring CNBC’s most iconic brands and franchises to new and existing audiences across all platforms, meeting consumers’ ever-evolving consumption preferences,’ said Satpal Brainch, President of CNBC Business News Worldwide in the announcement.

“CNBC says the podcast will be ‘guided’ by Katie Kramer, a Senior Producer on the television show. In addition to introducing the interviews conducted by co-anchors Joe Kernen, Becky Quick and Andrew Ross Sorkin, she’ll offer listeners some of the behind-the-scene stories from that day’s show.”
