CNBC has hired three more editorial staffers for its digital news operation.
Alana Kakoyiannis joined Make It as supervising producer, reporting to Kamelia Angelova with a dotted line into managing editor Jenna Goudreau.
Kakoyiannis will be responsible for setting the course for the Make It video team, assigning and delegating projects, and developing the work and careers of the video staff.
Prior to CNBC, she was a supervising producer at Business Insider for the past five years and has over a decade of freelance video production experience before that. She received a bachelor’s degree from Denison University and a master’s in integrated media arts from Hunter College.
Jimmy Im joins Make It as senior lifestyle writer, reporting to Leah Ginsberg.
Im has spent the past 12 years freelancing for such publications as Condé Nast Traveler, Vanity Fair, Travel + Leisure, New York Post, Men’s Fitness and The Hollywood Reporter, among others. He began his journalism career as an assistant editor at Business Traveler. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Emerson College.
Katie Brigham joined the San Francisco video team as an associate producer, reporting to Jeniece Heinz.
Most recently, she was a video producer for The Wall Street Journal. Brigham began her career with video internships at KQED and the San Francisco Chronicle before being named senior video producer at IDEO.org. She graduated with her master’s degree from Stanford University.
