CNBC has hired tech correspondent Sam Shead in London.
He starts on Monday and will be focused on European technology news.
Shead has been writing for the BBC News technology desk and Sifted, which is a new startup publication backed by The Financial Times.
He previously worked for Business Insider as a Berlin correspondent and as a senior technology reporter in London.
He has had other articles published by The Financial Times, Wired, Forbes and The Guardian, and he’s given interviews to the BBC, Sky News, Al Jazeera, Channel 5, Reuters TV, and Russia Today.
