Amelia Lucas has been hired as a staff reporter at CNBC.com to cover restaurants, food and consumer products.
Lucas had been a news associate with CNBC for two years covering everything from Starbucks and McDonald’s to the growth of something that professes to taste like meat.
She grew up in northern Virginia and attended the College of William & Mary, where she double majored in English and finance.
After graduation, she joined CNBC’s six-month fellowship program and then the consumer team.
