CNBC digital ops set records in December, 2011

 CNBC.com had its best December ever in terms of page views.

According to the latest data from comScore Media Metrix, the site was visited by 5.7 million unique users last month and achieved a record 304 million page views, an 11 percent increase year-over-year.

December marks the end of a record quarter for CNBC.com. The site saw a 9 percent increase in unique visitors and a 26 percent increase in page views — both compared to the same period in 2010.

CNBC Mobile, which includes CNBC Mobile Web, CNBC’s iPhone app, iPad app and Android app, wrapped up both a record month and year and, during the past 12 months, cumulatively totaled 1.8 billion page views.

The iPhone app posted 70 million page views, representing a 72 percent increase year-over-year, and, in terms of unique visitors, saw a 19 percent increase compared to the same time period as last year, according to Omniture.

The  iPad App crossed the 1 million download mark last month and had its best month ever in terms of uniques, a 35 percent increase year-over-year, according to Rentrak and Omniture.

CNBC Mobile Web recorded 68 million page views, representing a 12 percent increase year-over-year, according to Omniture. The Android app saw a 14 percent increase in unique visitors and an 11 percent increase in page views year-over-year.
