CNBC content now available on Amazon’s Alexa service

CNBC announced Friday that its content is now available on Amazon’s Alexa voice service.

Users with an Alexa-enabled device such as an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot can just ask questions such as “Alexa, ask CNBC for the latest news” or “Alexa, ask CNBC how the markets are doing.”

CNBC’s service will include quotes for stocks, indexes, commodities, and futures, as well as pre-market information.  The skill provides market data spanning NYSE, NASDAQ, S&P Indexes, Dow Jones Indexes, and futures.

“Alexa gives us the unique opportunity to offer an on-demand CNBC-connected personal assistant in consumers’ homes, making it that much easier for users to get the top market news and information they want from the leader in business news,” said Deep Bagchee, senior vice president of CNBC Product and Technology, in a statement.

Users can enable the CNBC skill by simply saying “Alexa, enable CNBC” or by searching for and enabling the CNBC skill in the Amazon Alexa mobile app,
