CNBC.com readers up 11 percent in December

CNBC.com was visited by 6.3 million unique users in December, an 11 percent increase compared to the same time period last year, according to comScore Media Metrix.

However, for the full year, the website was visited by 6.7 million unique users per month, flat with 2011.

The multimedia applications from the business news organization also saw double-digit increases in users in the last month of the year.

CNBC’s real-time iPhone application posted 598,000 unique visitors in December, an 11 percent increase year-over-year, according to Omniture. For the year, the monthly average was 585,000 unique visitors, up 26 percent.

CNBC’s real-time iPad application posted 431,000 unique visitors in December, a 10 percent increase year-over-year. For the year, the monthly average was 440,000 unique visitors, up 33 percent.

And CNBC mobile web recorded 2.4 million unique visitors, an 18 percent increase year-over-year. For the year, the monthly average was 2.5 million unique visitors, up 8 percent.
