CNBC.com has promoted three editorial staffers.

Christine Wang has been promoted to news editor at CNBC.com. In this position, she will work as a part-time hotseat, helping to manage the website, as well as coordinating earnings coverage. She will also handle some general assignment reporting on breaking news.

Wang joined CNBC as a news associate on “Fast Money Halftime Report” in 2015 before moving over to CNBC.com. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Princeton University.

Angelica LaVito joins CNBC.com as a news associate covering health care and will continue to focus and build on her coverage of pharmaceuticals, bio-tech and products designed to improve consumers’ lifestyle. Before joining CNBC, LaVito interned with Politico and one of Chicago Tribune’s local newspapers.

She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in political science.

Michael Sheetz is now a news associate covering general assignments for the website. Over the past year at CNBC, he developed a keen interest in the industry growing around space exploration. Sheetz will continue to focus on that as well as broader stories on the stock market.

He began his career in business journalism at CNBC in 2015 as an intern for the strategic content team before landing internships at the assignment desk and “Mad Money.” He graduated as one of four Founder’s Scholars from The King’s College in May 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in politics, philosophy and economics.
