CNBC.com promotes Levy and Haselton to editing roles

CNBC.com managing editor Jeffrey McCracken sent out the following note on Thursday:

I am happy to announce a couple of moves in the CNBC.com newsroom.

Long-time reporters Ari Levy and Todd Haselton have been promoted to editor roles, splitting up our technology coverage in San Francisco and New York. Both Ari and Todd will continue reporting to Matt Rosoff.

While Matt still has broad oversight of the CNBC.com tech vertical, these moves will allow him to focus more on building out our climate coverage, which we introduced in late 2021.

Todd has been with CNBC for about five years after spending time at both print and online publications covering technology, products and devices. Ari has been with CNBC since 2014, covering subjects including venture capital, tech investing and enterprise software. Before that, he spent 11 years as a reporter for Bloomberg.

And as previously announced by Dan Colarusso, tech editor Steve Kovach will now serve as a technology correspondent covering all things Apple and Microsoft for CNBC’s Business Day programming. While Steve will still contribute to CNBC.com, Todd will take over some of the editing duties that had previously been handled by him.

Please join me in congratulating Ari and Todd on their promotions and wishing Steve all the best in his new role.

Jeff
