CNBC.com posted its second-best month ever in terms of unique visitors in August.
The site was visited by 9.3 million unique users in August, up 34 percent compared to the same time period last year. CNBC.com’s year-over-year growth was more than double compared to any other site in the Business/Finance – News/Research category top 10 measured by comScore US Media Metrix.
In addition, CNBC mobile web recorded its best ever monthly unique visitors with 3.3 million, a 44 percent increase year-over-year, according to Omniture.
CNBC’s iPhone application posted 563,000 unique visitors, a 2 percent increase year-over-year.
CNBC’s iPad application posted 402,000 unique visitors for the month.
