CNBC.com announced Monday that it has launched an Asian Pacific version of its site, with a European site to follow.
The new site includes more Asia Pacific content and news and analysis from regional content partners including Caixin Media from China and Moneycontrol.com from India.
The announcement comes after a record-setting month for CNBC.com. In March, the site had its best month ever in both unique visitors and page views. According to the latest data from comScore Media Metrix, the site was visited by 7.8 million unique users last month, an 83 percent increase compared to the same time period last year, and recorded 381 million page views, a 64 percent increase year-over-year.
“The new Asia Pacific edition enables CNBC to better serve its audience by delivering the most comprehensive and compelling online experience to our users wherever they may be,” said John Casey, vice president of international news and programming, in a statement. “Users of CNBC.com in Asia Pacific will now have more access to the locally relevant content and analysis they need to know, while still keeping them abreast of the stories that are impacting the world globally.”
