Business news network CNBC announced Saturday that it is adding a reality show about sports betting to its primetime slate.
The new show is called “Money Talks,” which takes viewers inside the world of sports betting and Steve Stevens, a well-known handicapper who runs VIP Sports in Las Vegas. The one-hour pilot will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10 p.m.
The network also greenlit the second season of “The Car Chasers,” one of the first series to launch on CNBC. Season two of “The Car Chasers” will premiere Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 10 p.m.
The announcements were made by Jim Ackerman, CNBC’s senior vice president of primetime alternative programming.
“‘The Car Chasers’ developed a loyal fan base and we’re excited to build off that momentum and grow the show,” said Ackerman in a statement. “’Money Talks’ takes us deep inside the world of sports betting in Las Vegas. It’s a world that hasn’t been explored in primetime and we’re confident that our viewers will be fascinated by this intimate look at high stakes gambling.”
