Laura Purkess has been appointed deputy online editor at Citywire´s New Model Adviser magazine, covering pensions, investments, tax and the financial advice market.
Previously, she served as a reporter.
She has also worked at MRM Communications, a public relations firm in London. She has also freelanced for HuffPost US, Medium and Mouthy Money.
Purkess also won The HeadlineMoney Rising Star of the Year award in 2021 and NextGen’s Financial Journalist of the Year award in 2020. She has also been nominated for eight other journalism awards.
Purkess graduated from Queen Mary University of London.
