Steven Norton, who has been a reporter for the CIO Journal at The Wall Street Journal for the past four years, has left the newspaper.

Norton’s last day was on Wednesday. On Monday, he joins Metis Strategy, a strategy and management consulting firm based in Washington, as co-head of executive networks, research and media.

“The past four years have given me a birds-eye view of how technology is transforming some of the world’s largest companies,” he said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to work more closely with those firms as they think about how to navigate this period of rapid change.”

Norton previously was a producer for the Reuters Global Markets Forum, a 24-hour, cross-asset chat room community for finance professionals.

Norton is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was editor of The Daily Tar Heel, the student newspaper. He interned at Bloomberg News and the business news desk of the Charlotte Observer.
