Randy Tucker has rejoined the Cincinnati Enquirer business news desk as its commercial real estate reporter.

Tucker previously worked at the paper from 1998 to 2009 as a reporter and as assistant business editor. He had been with the Dayton Daily News since early 2010 as a business and health care reporter.

In a note to the staff, Enquirer editor Peter Bhatia wrote:

His work has taken him aggressively into the digital space in which we all live today, while remaining committed to engaging and informative news coverage. Prior to The Enquirer, he worked at the Omaha World-Herald. He has a journalism degree from the University of Minnesota. Randy is a much-awarded reporter over the years in a variety of state and local journalism contests.

During his career, Tucker has written extensively about broad economic and social issues, including race relations in the aftermath of the Cincinnati riots of 2001; the Great Recession’s impact on jobs and the economy; and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
