Cincinnati Biz Courier reporter Brunsman is departing

Barrett Brunsman

Barrett Brunsman, a reporter at the Cincinnati Business Courier covering Procter & Gamble and health care, is leaving the American City Business Journals paper.

Brunsman has accepted a position at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

He has been at the Business Courier since July 2013. Before that, he was a spokesman for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Brunsman spent nearly 20 years at the Cincinnati Enquirer as a reporter and news editor. He covered government, courts, and businesses from 2006 to 2011. He was also managing editor of the Richmond Times-Dispatch’s Chesterfield County section and director of information for the Society of Professional Journalists.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
