Business journalist Cristina Alesci is now the chief corporate affairs officer at Chobani.
She will lead external and internal communications, government and community relations, social impact and philanthropy. She will also join Chobani’s executive leadership team.
Previously, Alesci was at CNN for more than 6 years, working as a television and digital correspondent for CNN and CNNMoney. She covered companies and business leaders. During her time at CNN, she also interviewed big business and tech personalities.
Alesci joined CNN from Bloomberg Television. While there, Alesci covered New York City’s start-up community and the sports, music and entertainment industries, and contributed to Businessweek and Bloomberg Markets Magazine.
She also serves as a director and treasurer of the board of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and volunteers as an advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, hosting many of its major fundraising events and raising awareness about Type 1 Diabetes.
Alesci received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Pace University, a M.A. in Journalism from The City University of New York’s Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism and a post-baccalaureate certificate in business from Columbia University.
