Lori Michaels, the chief technology officer for American City Business Journals, is leaving the company to pursue another opportunity.
Michaels had been with the Charlotte-based company since February 2015.
In an email to the staff, CEO Whit Shaw wrote:
In her tenure with ACBJ, Lori organized our first innovation labs, introduced an Agile-based approach to software and product development and recently oversaw ACBJ’s move to the cloud among other things.
Obviously, this is a busy time of year with budgets and 2017 planning well under way. I’m confident the product and technology teams will continue to do great things as we work through this transition.
Michaels previously was vice president of digital for Scripps Network Interactive and chief digital officer for The Economist. She also worked at Time Inc., Viacom and Christie’s.
