Streetwise Media, which operates a Boston tech news site, plans to launch one in Chicago on June 2, reports Lewis Lazare of the Chicago Business Journal.
Lazare writes, “The new website from Boston-based digital media and event company Streetwise Media aims to open up Chicago’s growing tech world and make it both interesting and, perhaps more importantly, understandable to insiders, as well as the uninitiated.
“That could be a difficult feat, to be sure, but Chicago Inno (short for Chicago Innovation) aims to make it look easy by posting content that is both edgy and accessible. And even better — fun.
“Noted Streetwise Media CEO Chase Garbarino: ‘We’re very excited to be launching our third publication in Chicago as the city’s innovation economy has been developed substantially over the past several years. Our mission with Chicago Inno is to help highlight the best of Chicago’s innovation community, while also challenging the community in areas where we think improvement is needed.’
“Streetwise Media is a unit of Charlotte, N.C.-based American City Business Journals, also the parent of the digital title Chicago Business Journal.”
