“We wanted a modern design with the easy ability to access both live feeds,” said CEO Jon Steinberg in an email to Talking Biz News. “It’s a new CMS designed from the ground up for rapid clipping. Also an alogorithmic trending section.”
The design is fully mobile adaptive, added Steinberg. “The look and feel will come to all our mobile apps soon,” he said.
Senior vice president of operations Peyton Marcus and chief technology officer Ross Cooperman led the product revamp with editorial guidance from editor in chief Jim Roberts.
Steinberg said test text was used to accompany videos on the site, but Cheddar has no plans to go into the text news business.
