Operated by The Weather Channel and content partners, Local Now delivers information about current, localized news, weather, lifestyle, sports and traffic updates.
Cheddar’s national business news headlines will be added to the Local Now news service.
“This is a natural fit. Like Cheddar, Local Now aims to keep viewers informed on the most important daily information,” said Jon Steinberg, CEO of Cheddar, in a statement. “The Weather Channel’s OTT service is on so many of the major OTT platforms, like Sling and Youtube’s forthcoming bundle, as well as all the major cable bundles, so we are thrilled to bring Cheddar to their audiences on these platforms.”
Local Now is available on Sling TV, YouTube TV and through participating TV providers via Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, Android, and desktop.
Cheddar, which provides business news aimed at millennials, broadcasts from Post 10 on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and the Sprint Flatiron Building Store. It is available on Sling TV, Amazon, Pluto TV, 60 percent of smart TVs in the U.S., Vimeo and Twitter.
